This was a real David vs Goliath story. We teamed up with Holiday Film Group and their super-talented director, Luis Gerard, to work on this epic TVC for Rethink Canada and Kraft. Like the ice in the film, the job expanded pretty dramatically. We found ourselves doing a :60 second ad, virtually all shots involved replacing roller blades with ice skates and it needed to be done in a little more than a month. Thankfully, we pulled a global team together, and used a mix of CG, Compositing, and AI tools that hadn’t even been released when the project started. AI pre viz, style frames, player shadows, reflections, snow banks and in several scenes, AI skate replacements, made this a truly hybrid project.
